“TRACES & FLAVOURS” FROM BERLIN TO THE LONDON ICG GALLERY

As first event at the London ICG Gallery for 2025, on February 27th Idan Gilony, the Berlin based visual artist specialised in curated blending experiences of art, gastronomy and artistic performances, will direct an immersive artistic experience at the Old Street showroom guiding a restricted number of guests in a culinary journey and gastronomic performance.

As the artist describes, the event is is more than just a meal. It's a symphony of flavours, textures and ambiance that brings people together; it will take place in 3 stages: the entrée or “The Performance” in which a big white table will be used as a "canvas" and decorated with food and colourful liquid to create an artistic culinary image, inviting guests to serve themselves and contribute to the final artistic creation. This will be followed by a more traditional “Main” while the experience will be concluded with “The Dessert” where a giant cake will be created lively on the surface/canvas and people once more will serve themselves directly from it.

During the immersive event, the boundaries between food and traditional design will disappear on the Iris Ceramica Group surfaces: protagonists of the night will be as well the stylish and technical worktops of Sapienstone together with the innovative technology of Active Surfaces®.

Sapienstone, is the brand of Iris Ceramica Group specializing in kitchen countertops, worktops, shelves, and tables made of porcelain stoneware, creating timeless surfaces that embody the essence of luxury in kitchen spaces and interior design; Active Surfaces®, is the pioneering technology able to transform the Group’s slabs into eco-active surfaces with superior properties.

The event promises to be “one of a kind” due to the interaction between the versatility of the Iris Ceramica Group surfaces, the personality and the atmosphere created by the Berlin artist, and the interactions with the evening guests, which will have a central role in shaping the ultimate artwork at the London ICG Gallery.
