MAE (Matimex Architectural Exhibition) is the Matimex exhibition space in Castellón dedicated entirely to offering solutions to architects, designers and interior designers with the latest ceramic products from Iris Ceramica Group.
Renovated with the help of the prestigious architecture studio Bertone Design, directed by the architect Aldo Cingolani, MAE constitutes an authentic multifunctional space of more than 1,000 m2 where the prejudices of the "two-dimensionality" of ceramic floor and wall tiles are overcome.
In addition to the curvilinear volumes and sinuous lines that define the unmistakable style of the project, the large-format tiles (300x150 cm) create purely scenographic elements of great impact, covering hitherto unimaginable surfaces.
The showroom is presented to the public as an art gallery full of technical solutions where ceramic is the only protagonist, becoming an authentic ceramic skin capable of covering and embellishing any construction element. Details such as the translucency of some of our pieces, the customization, the coating of kitchen furniture or the mechanization by hydro-cutting can be seen in situ.
The interior vertical garden, located on the only main wall of the double height room, invites visitors to enter, where they are greeted by a bar counter. Few know it, but the garden design is inspired by the Matimex logo, a cross. The selection of species had two fundamental premises: few requirements for fertilization and simplicity of maintenance.
